Why This is a Global Effort

Every day, some news report serves to validate why DecideToChoose has a global focus, not merely a local one.
Sadly, one incident served to shed more light upon two trends.
  1. Acts of "random violence" affect everyone; i.e.: darkness creeps about everywhere
  2. Perpetrators immediatly end their own lives more and more often

Case in point: An American, with ties to the Olympic team, was murdered in Beijing, China on August 9, 2008.

Let this sad example motivate us to be diligent enough to do these three things...
  • Resist the retaliation instinct, without being immune to the horror
  • Be sensitive to it, without allowing it to numb us into inaction
  • Decide what tangible action we each will personally take toward choosing and achieving Peace
